Most login issues fall into one of these. Start with the one that matches yours.
Make sure you're signed into iCloud (Settings โ Your Name at the top). Sign in with Apple needs an active iCloud session. If you are signed in, force-close Roomn, relaunch, and try again.
Check that you have at least one Google account on your device (Settings โ Mail โ Accounts). If you do, try signing out of Roomn and signing in again.
On the login screen, tap Sign In, enter your email, then tap the password reset option in the password field area. You'll get an email with a reset link within a minute. Check spam if you don't see it.
Check your spam folder. If it's not there, email us at support@roomn.app with the address you used and we'll manually verify within 24 hours.
How Roomn finds study buddies, and what to do when something's off.
Roomn suggests study buddies based on shared subjects, overlapping study hours, similar level of study, and how active each person has been recently. A 100-point match score is calculated server-side, so you always see the best candidates first.
Make sure your profile has at least one subject and a few hobbies added. Profiles with just the basics don't rank well. Try Discover โ Filters to widen your age range or remove country restrictions.
Tap their profile photo in chat โ Report. You can also long-press any message to report or delete it. Our team reviews reports quickly and takes action.
Check your connection. If it's solid, force-close the app and reopen. Messages send optimistically โ if one fails, you'll see a retry option.
Chat translation uses Apple's built-in Translation framework and requires iOS 18 or later. Translation runs entirely on your device โ nothing is sent to our servers.
All Roomn Pro subscriptions are handled through the App Store.
Open Roomn โ Profile โ Settings โ tap your subscription. Or go through the paywall โ Restore Purchases is at the bottom.
All cancellations happen in Apple's Settings, not inside Roomn. Open Settings on your iPhone โ tap your name at the top โ Subscriptions โ roomn โ Cancel Subscription. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the billing period.
Apple handles all refunds, not us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and request a refund for the Roomn charge. Apple usually responds within 48 hours.
Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall. If that doesn't work, sign out and back in. If it's still stuck after that, email us with your Apple ID email and the date of purchase and we'll fix it manually.
Pricing is shown in the app at checkout in your local currency. You can choose monthly or annual. Cancel anytime โ no hidden fees.
Start with a quick reset. Most issues clear up with these.
Force-close Roomn (swipe up on the app card from the app switcher) and reopen. If it happens again, restart your device. If it's still crashing after that, email us with your iOS version and what you were doing when it crashed.
Make sure Roomn has permission to access your photos: Settings โ Roomn โ Photos โ All Photos. Try a different photo first โ some older formats don't upload cleanly.
Check Settings โ Notifications โ Roomn and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Also check Focus modes aren't silencing them. Inside Roomn: Profile โ Settings โ Notifications.
Sessions save when you tap End Session. If the app crashed mid-session, the session may be lost โ unfortunately we can't recover it. We're working on auto-save.
This usually clears within a minute. If it persists, pull down to refresh on Discover, or sign out and back in.
